Non-Melanoma Skin Cancers

Non-melanoma skin cancers, particularly basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma, represent a major dermatological burden. This topic will examine their clinical presentation, risk factors, diagnosis, and disease progression. Participants will discuss dermoscopic evaluation and appropriate biopsy techniques. Treatment options including excision, Mohs surgery, cryotherapy, topical therapy, and photodynamic therapy will be explored. The role of radiation and systemic treatments in advanced disease will also be considered. Special attention will be given to high-risk tumors and recurrent lesions. Prevention strategies and long-term surveillance will form an important part of the discussion.Practical approaches to improving early diagnosis and patient outcomes will be highlighted.
